Moonrise Pathways, PLLC
Compassionate, trauma-responsive therapy centering liberation, empowerment, and authentic connection.
Virtual Individual Therapy Services + EMDR across NC and SC
Finding a connection that truly sees you, affirms your identity, and honors your unique way of being can be an integral step on your therapy journey.
A Shared Path Forward
Therapy works best as a partnership with a therapist that you vibe with; someone who listens and engages with you in the shared process of growth.
With that in mind, I provide an interactive and grounding space where we’ll work together to unpack the different layers of your story (including the systems that shape your reality) and figure out what your way forward looks like. Our work is centered on your needs and moves at a pace that feels right to you.
While every path is distinct, I often support individuals navigating:
The lasting impact of trauma
Intense anxiety, chronic stress, or burnout
Persistent low mood or depression
Challenges with self-worth and inner criticism
Grief and loss
Major life transitions, such as relationship shifts, job changes, moving, or evolving identity
Relational and attachment patterns that may make it difficult to set boundaries or communicate with others
The need for a space that is inclusive of your entire self
The state of the world in 2026
Regardless of the reason you’re seeking counseling today, I am committed to your whole story as we move toward your goals and growth together.
You are the ultimate expert in your own life. My practice is built on the belief that your therapy should be tailored to you.
Therapy with me is a personalized blend of tools and conversation, always rooted in authentic human connection. We’ll collaborate to find a unique path that respects your identity, lived experiences, needs, and preferences.
The Ground We Rise From
I (Amanda Kenney, LCSW) founded Moonrise Pathways, PLLC to provide a dedicated space for deep healing beyond surface-level solutions, rooted in principles of social justice and anti-oppression. This practice is trauma-responsive, anticarceral, and fundamentally supportive of autonomy and self-determination.
I strive to provide culturally responsive and identity-affirming care for all people, including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color/Global Majority, 2SLGBTQIA+ folx, immigrants, and disabled and neurodivergent individuals. While I navigate the world with my own story, including certain unearned advantages, such as white privilege, I am committed to doing the internal work to show up for and with those with different lived experiences.
I am dedicated to ongoing learning & unlearning, self-reflection, accountability, and action. This includes a commitment to restorative action whenever I inevitably make mistakes and to continue my growth and development as a clinician, supervisor, and person. Because true healing requires a world that is safer for all of us, I work to extend this commitment into advocacy that challenges oppressive systems and supports community-led change.
